Samprash Foods Ltd., is one of the fastest emerging dairy products company in India. The group was founded in 2004 by Dr C.N. Kuchroo, a renowned scientist from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. Over the years SFL group has been able to tap into veritable experience of over 30 years of promoters in food processing industry.

The foundation of the group was laid on the cornerstone of bringing in operational excellence into the Indian dairy processing industry. The group presently runs a 300,000 litres per day milk processing unit at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh and is currently setting up an integrated milk processing plant at Kanpur (Dehat), Uttar Pradesh.

The group lays deep emphasis upon developing robust milk supply chain and has partnered with BAIF Development Research Foundation to set up milk collection centres across influence areas of its operations. Additionally, the group runs milk-collection centers and plans to significantly expand it current collection capacity.

The focus is to ensure prompt payment to farmers and to incentivise them for better milk yields. A significant amount of its efforts go into educating and creating awareness amongst them to introduce new scientific methods for better cattle health and improved yields.

Though the group’s current product basket of milk powders, white butter and desi ghee are being skewed more towards institutional markets, the group has strong plans to further consolidate its presence in the domestic retail markets. With an eye on the newer products being added into its portfolio and huge production capacity additions, the group expects to undertake more retail product launches in newer markets in the future. In view of this, the group has embarked upon creating a distinguished brand identity. Asserting on the value of hygiene, the group’s new logo represents safety and trust.

The group’s persistent efforts have translated into robust financial performance over the years. The company’s top-line has grown by over 45 per cent year-to-year from Rs 130 crore in FY 12-13 to Rs 252 crore in FY 13-14. This year also marked the entry of reputed and well recognised customer brands into its fold and the years ahead shall mark an expansion of the portfolio.
