Management Development Institute

Management Development Institute (MDI) is one of the few Indian B-Schools to be accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA), London. About 80 full-time faculty members, all nationally and internationally acclaimed academicians, teach various courses at the institute. The teachers have a wealth of experience, ranging from research to industry exposure, to count on. It is one of the few Indian B-Schools to have been accredited by South Asian Quality Standards (SAQS).

MDI is built solely on its excellent quality of management education. The main drivers of this excellence have been their student-oriented approach, backed by its massive industry interface. This is backed by an overall global perspective that is further strengthened by some of the most profitable international linkages. Their immense faculty base, topped with field-oriented learning, provides its students a platform that helps them build for themselves a better career launch pad. MDI’s consistency in focussing on these key areas has been instrumental in the institute’s name figuring in the list of top B-Schools of India. Their core competency lies in value-added consulting, quality research and executive development. The AICTE’s ‘National Board of Accreditation’ awarded “A” Grade to MDI’s Post Graduate Programme in Management.

Offering a one-of-its-kind opportunity to every two out of three of its students to spend a term abroad under an international student exchange programme, MDI helps them develop an international perspective of growth and management. On the other hand, students walking into their classrooms from as many as 45 B-Schools across the world provide the students at MDI exposure and understanding of cross-culture management.

MDI has played host to a number of conferences where scholars from diverse fields of expertise have shared their perspective on recent developments. In 2012, it hosted four major conferences, namely the International Conference on Information Systems, Technology and Management; the International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure in Emerging Markets; the International Conference on Digital Libraries and Knowledge Organisation; and the International Conference on Financial Innovations and Change for Survival and Growth.

MDI has a 40-acre campus on the outskirts of New Delhi, India, where minds can step away from the hustle-bustle of city life and can peacefully introspect, learn and grow. Another add-on is the strategic location. Its proximity to Gurgaon, the emerging corporate and IT hub, enables easier interaction with the industry.
