Maxis was the first to launch 4G LTE service and the first to activate 4G LTE for Apple devices. It is also the first to offer Blackberry Z10 smart phone in Malaysia. It also launched first personal cloud-based service in Malaysia.
ENGAGEMENT THAT ENTHRALS
Maxis Cyberkids programme is the company’s flagship corporate responsibility initiative which is aimed at reaching out to the underserved, rural and isolated communities, educating students and teachers about basic IT knowledge. Maxis recently refreshed its scholarship programme by opening up the MSEA to all Malaysians. Maxis has committed more than RM44.8 million in scholarships to 244 recipients. In addition to financial support, an integral feature of the scholarship programme is a wide range of training and development and extracurricular activities.
