Modi Academic International Institute (MAII) is an initiative of the K.K. Modi Group, a prominent Indian business group, offering both bachelors as well as masters degree courses in business and Information Technology.

The New Delhi-based institute, under the able leadership of Ms. Charu Modi, the chairperson, provides the right kind of atmosphere for students to develop skills required by employers. Students from differing learning styles are encouraged and accommodated in the academic programmes. This unique approach of focussing both on the students and keeping in mind the requirements of the industry is behind the success of this institute.

MAII has also collaborated with Stratford University, Virginia, USA, to offer their undergraduate and graduate programmes in India. Stratford University is accredited by a nationally recognised accrediting agency, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), to award associate, bachelors and masters degrees. The courses offered are also recognised by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The placement and instructional programmes are designed in such a way that students can start their career soon after graduation. The institute had a placement record of 90 per cent for 2012-13.

What differentiates MAII from the rest is its teaching methodology. The faculty is handpicked after a thorough selection process so that only the best are chosen. An experience of not less than seven years is needed to be considered in the first place.  They are then selected based on the basis of their active involvement and experience in their profession as well as academic records. Other things that make the learning experience rich are smaller classroom sizes and an emphasis on discussion, dialogue and case studies.

The institute also encourages its students to gain work experience by taking up internships or part-time work while they are still in college.

The institute has a strength of 66 faculty members out of whom 21 have PhD. There is a state-of-the-art computer lab and a fully computerised library which allows access to online journals, publications and books.

The institute has a special focus on health and wellness. It offers courses in meditation and mind/body awareness and holistic health.

Student and faculty exchange programmes encourage students and faculty from the New Delhi Campus to spend time at one of the US campuses and vice versa.
