Founded in 1992, New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM) is part of a not-for-profit society.

The main focus of the institute is to provide masters in business administration (MBA) with dual specialisation. These specialisations range from human resource management, Information Technology, marketing, international business, finance, production and supply chain management to financial services, insurance and, media and communications management. Apart from the core subjects, around 12 specialisation electives are also taught.

The post-graduate diploma in management (PGDM) programme at NDIM lays emphasis on practical learning by providing eight weeks of summer projects apart from the class projects and major projects in the final semester. Their PGDM management and PGDM finance has 180 students enrolled in each course and PGDM (marketing) has another 60 students.

A minimum requirement for admission is getting a certificate from a reputed NGO along with at least 20 hours of field work experience. Students are also required to actively participate in at least three extracurricular activities as members of the student-driven clubs at the campus.

The curriculum has been developed in consultation with professors from prestigious American and European Universities and recruiters & CEO’s who constitute the Academic Advisory Council of NDIM.

NDIM has a tie-up with international agencies offering projects in more than 15 countries to its students to work on. It sends students on exchange programmes to various universities and institutions in the UK, Germany, Spain and Canada. The admission process is carried out on the basis of various entrance tests followed by a group discussion and an interview with the candidate. Other aspects like previous work experience, other achievements and social service are also taken into consideration.

Taking their industry partnership forward, each student is attached to an industry mentor connecting the student to the practical world. In addition to summer internships, students also work on live projects with companies like Parle, Havells, Blue Star, etc and on projects abroad.

There are 18 clubs operational in the institute: markomania (marketing club), finalyst (finance club), ensemble (human resource club), bits ‘n’ bytes (information technology club), swayam (cultural club), velociti (sports club), yogdaan club, beyond the campus club, wisdom tree club, editorial club, udaan (drama and theatre club), alumni club and incubation club.

Markomania and finalyst publish their monthly magazines; Flaunt and Fiscal, respectively. These are sent to almost 1,000 business houses and are well received by the academia. The editorial club publishes a bi-annual journal ‘Review of Professional Management’ which is listed in Ulrich Periodical Directory by ProQuest, USA.
