PUTRA Business School, formerly the Graduate School of Management, is Malaysia’s first and only business school to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
PUTRA has thus joined the league of select business schools like Harvard, London Business School, Wharton and Yale. It offers internationally recognised programmes in MBA, MM(IT), M.Sc. and PhD. It is located in Serdang.
PUTRA was established by a not-for-profit foundation,Yayasan Putra Business School, as a private institute. It seeks to produce business graduates who meet the needs of the business community and socially responsible leaders who are skilled to keep pace with the changes in the global environment.
The school is wholly committed to a belief in human governance as the bedrock of a sound, realistic, forward-looking business and corporate philosophy. It believes good corporate governance follows principled governance of human behaviour. Putra offers an array of courses based on human governance.
These courses include human governance transformational cours-es, corporation simulation strategies, the science of communication and entrepreneurship development & enhancement course.
The human governance programmes train students to reposition the moral compass as the primary source of living. It stands against the Machiavellian end-justifies-the-means mantra. Corporate simulation strategies programme is a three-day programme with experiential learning-based indoor and outdoor simulations employed as learning tools to drive the belief, character and process transformations. The entrepreneurship development and enhancement course equips students with tools to help negotiating for start-up funds, costing and sourcing of finance for new ventures and growing businesses through key relationships. The communication programme trains students to plan and execute effective communications with people.
