Ryan International Group of Institutions

Starting with a school in Mumbai in the year 1976, the Ryan International Group of Institutions has over the years established more than 125 schools in some 16 Indian states, educating more than 2,50,000 students at primary and secondary levels. KASSM – Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, Social and Moral Values – is the approach that Dr A.F. Pinto, chairman of the group, has set for the group to follow.
Affiliation with CBSE, in the year 1991, helped the group expand in the National Capital Region. Ryan group today has established its presence in the UAE and envisions expanding in the entire South Asian region. “We are in the process of gearing up for the next level. We will continue to grow within India. Simultaneously we intend to grow our footprint in the UAE and South Asia,” says Grace Pinto, managing director.
Believing in the philosophy of ‘Excellence in Education and All-Round Development’, Ryan Group ensures that their methodology is not only spiritual and value-based but is also an effective teaching-learning process that aims towards the holistic development of budding minds.
Operating under multiple boards like CBSE, ICSE, ISC and HSC, its schools also offer other curriculums like International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE (Cambridge). Ryan has a team of around 15,000 faculty members trained by mentors in the Multiple Intelligence theory of Dr. Howard Gardner, the Harvard professor.
Ryan was one of the first schools to collaborate with US India Business Council (USIBC) in order to mobilise both financial and intellectual resources. It was done with a vision to transform schools in a way that promotes the replication of this successful model across India.
With a view to providing hands-on learning experience in sports, the group has collaborated with names like Mahesh Bhupathi, Baichung Bhutia, Vishwanathan Anand and Anil Kumble. Some other activities that feature regularly in the school’s calendar are dance, drama, singing, notice board journalism, painting, elocution and debates. Twenty students get to visit NASA to attend a special workshop every year.
Ryan International Group has successfully partnered with UK schools through the UK India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI). It aims to substantially improve education links between India and UK. Seventeen of its schools have so far been awarded the “International School Award” by the British Council. In keeping with international standards, the Ryan Group’s schools have an array of facilities. The schools boast of spacious class rooms, huge play grounds, well-equipped laboratories and specialised teaching areas for media, art, dance and a wide range of other activities.
