Amity University is a leading private university in India, operating out of multiple campuses within the country and abroad. The Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, a non-profit organization, which runs several educational institutions under the flagship of Amity Universe, promotes it. At present, more than 100,000 students study in 240 programmes across 30 different Amity campuses spread over 1,000 acres.
In 1991, the foundation set up its first institute, Amity International School, in New Delhi. The Amity Business School was the first higher education institute set up in 1995 and by 2006, Amity University launched its first campus in Noida. In the next six years, Amity University campuses were set up in Gurgaon, Jaipur, Lucknow and Gwalior. International campuses of Amity are in London, Dubai, Singapore, Mauritius, South Africa, China and New Jersey, USA.
Amity offers under-graduate, post-graduate and doctoral level degree programmes which are recognised by the Government of India. Part-time, distance and online programmes are also offered.

The central campus auditorium can accommodate upto 3,500 students, while there are over 300 state-of-the-art laboratories.
