The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) was founded in 1994. Dr. Suborno Bose, the chairperson  of the IndSmart Group, promoted the institute to  offer various services in the fields of hospitality education, management education and Information Technology education in India. In the 90s, IIHM became one of the first few institutions in India to offer an international degree in hospitality management through its tie-up with the University of West London and through its collaboration with the Edinburgh Napier University, UK.

The institute has multiple campuses – Kolkata, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bangkok. It has tie-ups with the DeVry University’s campuses in USA, Australia, Mauritius and, South West and South East Asia. It has over 300 faculty members across all its campuses to help its students gain as much as they can while they are associated with IIHM.

IIHM offers various courses like bachelors in science (B.Sc.) in hotel management and, catering and tourism; bachelors in arts (B.A.) in hospitality management; diploma in hotel and catering management and advanced diploma in international hospitality administration. During these courses students are given an option to study at the Edinburgh Napier University, the University of West London or at IIHM’s campus in Bangkok.

At present, it’s trying to develop a fruitful partnership with the George Brown College, Canada.

It offers a multi-cultural environment for better personality development of its students. These students hail from different countries like Thailand, Armenia, Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, Bangladesh and, of course, India.

All its campuses have a separate placement cell, a well-sourced library, a set of well-equipped laboratories and proper arrangements for sports and extra-curricular activities for its students.
