The Shishukunj International School is a co-educational English medium Senior Secondary school in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It was founded by Dhirendra Davey, Prem Sethia and Rajesh Mehta in 2005 to provide quality education to students.
Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, the school conducts classes from Nursery to Class XII. It offers a variety of streams in senior classes like Science, Commerce and Humanities. With 220 educators and 135 fully equipped classrooms and laboratories, the school aims at promoting thinking skills and imparting conceptual knowledge rather than mere factual information. Judicious use of latest technology combined with hands on learning is implemented to facilitate and reinforce learning.
The school has state-of-the-art infrastructure for academics, sports and art education which is upgraded from time to time, keeping in mind the changing and increasing needs of the students. All buildings have access through a ramp or elevator to facilitate the movement of wheel chairs. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities at the inter-school, interhouse and inter-class levels. Students also compete at the state and national levels in sports, literary and other co-curricular activities. These activities give students a platform to display their skills in various areas and contribute immensely to their overall personality and growth.
Admission at the entry level (Nursery) is based on a lottery system where each applicant gets the chance of being selected randomly irrespective of caste, financial situations, social status, etc. The admission process differs for secondary school where applicants are selected on the basis of merit, subject to space being available. Gender balance is kept in mind while offering admission at all levels.
