Exceeding expectations for more than fifty years
For over 50 years, Yamaha Motor Group has endeavoured to create diverse value through products and services since its founding. Yamaha’s work is based on three ideas which also constitute their ‘Corporate Philosophy’. The first being the Group’s ‘Corporate Mission’, which is its core identity, values, purpose and visionary goals. The second are its ‘Management Principles’ – the guiding management principles for achieving the corporate mission. The third one being ‘Action Guidelines’, the guidelines each individual should follow to realise the corporate mission.
The mark of Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd is the ‘tuning fork’ mark. It consists of three, musical instrument tuning forks arranged in a configuration that suggests the wheel of a motorcycle, and it takes the basic form of the same tuning fork mark created as the symbol of Yamaha Motor’s parent company Nippon Gakki Co. Ltd (presently Yamaha Corporation) founded in 1897.
Yamaha Motor has two core areas of technology – small engine technology originating from motorcycle development, and FRP process technology originating from boat manufacturing. Further, Yamaha Motor has expanded into developing control technology and component technology in order to build a multi-axial business structure.
Whatever be the pursuit, Yamaha is there pursuing the goals. By satisfying customers and exceeding their expectations with products and services of superior quality, unmatched performance, and extraordinary value, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd has made its place in the hearts of many.
