The Abu Dhabi-based Aldar Properties’ Yas Island project is a state-of-the-art entertainment destination which includes the Yas Marina F1 Circuit – host to the annual F1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Ferrari World – the world’s first Ferrari theme park, Yas Viceroy – an iconic five star hotel beautifully built on land and water, YasWaterworld – the water theme park spanning an area of 15 football pitches, holding 43 rides, slides and attractions, Yas Links – the award-winning golf course designed by Kyle Phillips featuring a 7450-yard par 72 course. For the young and amateur speed enthusiast, the island offers the YasKartzone and on the southern shores lies the tranquil Yas Beach.
The destination occupies a total land area of 2500 hectares or 25 square kilometres and the total estimated cost of construction is over $40 billion.
