A humble beginning from a single factory outlet with 20 employees, F&N Beverages & Marketing Sdn. Bhd. (FNBM) is now Malaysia’s largest soft drinks manufacturer and distributor. John Fraser and David Chalmers Neave formed a partnership to produce aerated water under the partnership of Fraser & Neave (F&N) in the year 1883. The company operates through three production plants and 10 warehouse centres. A well loved brand in Malaysia, F&N has spread its wings to more than 20 countries worldwide and has established itself as a leader in the industry.
The multimillion dollar facility occupies over 31 hectares of land and has 11 production lines. This includes PET bottle lines, tetra pack lines and can lines which are able to produce at the speed of 1,500 cans of drinks per minute. The plant has a manufacturing capacity of 65 million cases of soft drinks a year; such that if the cans were lined side by side it would be able to circle the globe twice. FNBM promises to offer healthy enjoyment in exciting ways. In Malaysia, FNBM’s soft drinks portfolio consists of well-known brands such as 100PLUS, F&N Fun Flavours, F&N SEASONS, F&N Fruit Tree, F&N Ice Mountain and the newly-launched OISHI Green Tea.
Under the division’s non-carbonated portfolio, F&N SEASONS is the number one RTD Tea brand and F&N SEASONS Nutri Soy is the best-selling soya drink in the country while F&N Fruit Tree continues to experience growth within the juice segment.
In April 2010, FNBM was appointed exclusive distributor of Red Bull energy drinks in Malaysia. The inclusion of Red Bull further enhanced FNBM’s beverage portfolio. Over the years, FNBM has implemented several strategic measures that emphasise its strong brand presence. F&N invests heavily in advertising and promotions, product availability and operational efficiency.
