bobbyEngineering college dropout. English Lit. grad. Purveyor of f-bombs. Lazy writer. Lazy. Period. Bobby’s got into the business by accident. You might say his journey into advertising is like a blind date that led to a marriage. The relationship has lasted 23 years and divorce isn’t on the cards. By all means, advertising has been good to Bobby. He got to put his creative fingerprints on some of the world’s best-known brands.
At Publicis, Bobby and his planning partner, Partha Sinha, have created some of most talked about work on the agency’s biggest brands. They have also revved up Publicis’s new business engine, making the agency one of the fastest growing in the country.
Before joining Publicis, he was the Chief Creative Officer at JWT, where he made a marked difference to the creative product.. Prior to that he spent 4 years as the Chief Creative Officer of the DDB Mudra Group. He was instrumental in transforming the agency into, arguably, one of the hottest creative shops in the country. Besides India, Bobby has plied his craft in the US, as a Creative Director at Ogilvy, New York and Group Creative Director at BBDO, Chicago. For a guy who almost flunked math, his stats are not bad. He has racked-up over 400 local and international awards, in both creative as well as effectiveness shows. He was Campaign Asia’s Creative Person of the Year (2011) for India and South Asia. Today he is ranked amongst the 5 most influential and creative people in Indian advertising, by the Economic Times.
