Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. The college was established in 1998 and offers B.Tech courses in seven disciplines of engineering and postgraduate courses in six engineering disciplines. The college is certified for ISO 9001- 2008 by BSI, UK.
AKGEC has excellent infrastructure with high-tech laboratories, computing facilities, automated library with e-journals, interactive satellite (EDUSAT) terminal, modern well furnished hostels for 1500 students and faculty residences on its wi-fi enabled 40-acre campus.
The college also has a highly qualified and experienced faculty led by its Director, Dr R.K. Agarwal, who is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur; CIT, UK and IISc, Bangalore with a vast teaching, research and administrative experience.
The college has been consistently maintaining excellent results and has an unbeatable record breaking 26 students in the 2013-14 UPTU branchwise merit lists with 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. The college also conducts a number of industrially relevant programmes to make its students globally competitive. The college is also the recipient of National Uttar Pradesh Education Awards for Best Industry Interface and The Best Self Financed Technical Institute in Uttar Pradesh during 2013 and 2014 respectively from the Ministers of Science & Technology and Minister of Technical Education, U.P. Government.

The college plans to expand its existing M.Tech programmes and promote collaborative industry relevant projects, R&D and consultancy to raise the overall academic standard as well as to bridge the gap between academic curriculum and industry requirements to make its students globally competitive.
