Dusit Thani was incorporated in the year 1949 by Honorary Chairperson Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, whose first hotel was the Princess on Bangkok’s New Road, Dusit International.
Dusit Thani Bangkok, became the company’s flagship hotel opened in 1970 and from the beginning has set new standards for hospitality.
1987, Dusit recognised tourist trends towards resort style accommodations and acquired a hotel which was renovated to become the first resort property.
Awarded Silver Certification by EarthCheck in the year 2010 and 2011.
Dusit International also announces its first step in China – Dusit Thani Hainan and Dusit Devarana Hainan slated to open in 2013.
