Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST) was established with the basic objective of strengthening the close link of education with skill development providing global opportunities to deserving students.
SNIST is an engineering college which offers seven undergraduate courses, nine postgraduate courses, along with a course in business management. It is affiliated to the JNTUH and looked after by the Sree Educational Society.
It was established in 1997 in Hyderabad, with compliance from the AICTE, New Delhi, and the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh/Telengana. The students who seek admission in engineering need to clear the EAMCET conducted by Andhra Pradesh/Telengana states. The students who are not qualified or wish to take direct admission are facilitated through management seats which is one of the policies of the Govt of Andhra Pradesh /Telengana.
The college left its indelible mark in the field of engineering by being the one and only self-financing institutions out of 300 engineering colleges in the Telengana region. It acquired financial aid for technical education and quality upgrade programme from the World Bank. It has experimented with a new pedagogic style and built campus infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories and classrooms. The central library has digital facilities, a collection of over 11,896 titles and subscription to 50 printed international journals and 166 National Journals.
